Demand increases while funding falls
Since formation of the Coalition Government there has been new legislation relating to the public spending deficit and we can expect to see an increasing squeeze in all areas. Government’s aim is to encourage people to use mediation before resorting to court.
The Big Society is a prominent part of Government’s drive and this will affect important funds such as the Big Lottery Fund, which will in-turn impact many of the services supported by funding.
As demand for mediation continues to increase and while funding decreases, we need to find ways of making sure that we can continue to provide professional support to families who are going through separation and divorce.
Donation of time or money
Surrey Family & Mediation Services is a charitable organisation focused on helping families who are struggling with the challenges they face during the process of separation and divorce.
By helping children to see through the confusion that arises when parents separate or divorce we can significantly reduce the detrimental short and long term effects.
Maybe you or someone close to you has been through a difficult family separation without any support ……it can be very painful!
If you or someone close to you has benefited from using one of our services and you would like to make a donation or volunteer your time, we would be very grateful!
Please consider supporting us with an online donation.
